1/4x^2 = -1/2x + 2.....multiply everything by 4
x^2 = -2x + 8
x^2 + 2x - 8 = 0
(x + 4)(x - 2) = 0

x + 4 = 0
x = -4

x - 2 = 0
x = 2

solutions are : x = -4 or x = 2

x^/x = 1/4/-1/2 + 2
x = 1/4 * 2/1 + 2
x = 0.5 + 2
x = 2.5
