You could also do this as a decimal 11/12 = 11 divide by 12 = 0.91666666667 1/4 = 0.25 Remainder = 0.9166666667 - 0.25 Remainder = 0.6666666 which is 2/3 I have not been particularly careful about how many 6s you get. Just copy what your calculator says..
