We want to factor:
[tex]2x^4+5x^2+3[/tex]
This may seem tricky because of the high powers, but remember that [tex]x^4=(x^2)^2[/tex]. Then we can factor it as:
[tex]2x^4+5x^2+3=(2x^2+3)(x^2+1)[/tex]
