This concept defines what a bird is.

That definition permits that all the people agree to recognize what a bird is.

So, an insect flying you will not it is not a bird because it does not have feathers nor two legs.

Whenyou see a bat flying you will not it is not a bird becasue it does not have feathers.

To be a bird the animal has to meet all the characteristics of the definition. That is what a concept does.
