Since you are multiplying, not dividing, the fractions wouldn't need a common denominator... They would stay the same.

First, you would cross simplify the equation... But, you don't have to do it now, you can do it at the end (I think this was is easiest).
[tex] \frac{1}{1} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]
Finally, you would answer the equation.
