An underground mine elevator reaches a total depth of 99 meters. It descends 17% of the total distance every minute. How many meters below the ground is the elevator after 3 minutes.

99 x 0.17 = 16.83 feet every minute

16.83 x 3 = 50.49 meters below the ground

for the other answer it would have to be -50.49. NEGATIVE 50.49. Thats all :)
