subtract 50 from each side
8x=80
divide each side by 8
x=10

So you'll have to work 10 hours to get to a total of $130
First way of answering:

130- 50 = 80
80 ÷ 8 = 10

Second way of answering:
130 = 50 + 8×h                                h- hours
- 50   -50
-------------------
80 = 8 × h
÷8   ÷8
------------------
10 = h
