Further Explanation

The decline of feudalism was a result of the increase in businessmen and middle-class traders. These businessmen finance their armies and eventually reduce their dependence on the feudal lords. As the trades and commerce experience a major boom, it became difficult for the feudal lords to pay their debts and have no choice than to sell their properties, particularly their land to repay their debt.

Although the craftsman and business benefited from increased trade and commerce, it was a major setback for feudalism and led to the renaissance.

Impact of Crusade: the conflict between the Muslim and Christian also took place before the start of the Renaissance.  There was a religious war carried out by Christians during the middle ages. During the war, the Christians from Europe met with the Middle East who were more advanced in many things at the time, particularly, mathematics

Wealth and prosperity: Trades and commerce also experienced a major boost between the eastern and western countries in the 1200s and 1300s

The decline in church influence: the church played a significant in government during the middle ages but this change as soon as King Philip IV of France arrested the Pope in 1296 AD. The events affected the power of the church.
