       A represent adult

1.50C + 2A = 378

C+A = 217

A = 217-C

1.50C + 2(217-C) = 378

1.50C + 434 - 2C = 378

1.50C - 2C = 378 - 434

0.25C = 56

dividing both sides by 0.25

C = 56/0.25

C =224 children

A =217-224

= 227 adults

140+454 =$594, children's ticket revenues + adult ticket revenue = total revenue
