When we reflect a point across the "x-axis" it's y-coordinate has to change siginals. Therefore the image of the point is:

[tex]A^{\prime}=(x,-y)[/tex]

Applying this to the points:

[tex]\begin{gathered} Q^{\prime}=(2,-1) \\ R^{\prime}=(4,4) \end{gathered}[/tex]

When we reflect a point across the "y-axis" its x-coordinate has to change signals.

The image of the points are:

[tex]\begin{gathered} Q^{\doubleprime}=(-2,1) \\ R^{\doubleprime}=(-4,-4) \end{gathered}[/tex]
