A classmate says the slope of the line is 1.25. Do you agree? Explain.

To know if the classmate is right we can find the slope of the function with two different points. In the graph I can see the points (-4,-3) and (0,2)
Now we can use the slope equation:
[tex]\frac{y_{2-}y_1}{x_{2-}x_1}[/tex]and replace the values for our coordinates
[tex]\frac{2-(-3)}{0-(-4)}=\frac{5}{4}[/tex]So the answer is D) the slope is 5/4
