The size of your pupils can change how much light enters your eye. Your iris, which is colourful, has small muscles that regulate your pupil's size. Your pupils will shrink in bright light to block out the light. Pupils enlarge to let in more light when it is dark.
Pupil's size is constantly changing throughout the day in response to the ambient brightness. The pupil will constrict in size in a bright environment to let less light into the eye. The pupil enlarges in low light conditions to let in more light.
