President Roosevelt supported that bank customers were to blame for the 1933 banking crisis.
The reason given behind this were:
- Bank customers all over the U.S started mass withdrawls from the bank deposits which led the banks to cripple.
- Bank customers didn't show faith in the banking system and lost trust in banks and also led to many gossips and rumours which further escalated the issue.
- All this led to shutdown of many banks and businesses and contributed in the great depression.
