To change the denominator from 3 to 6 , you need to multiply by 2. Do the same to the numerator,
2/3 x 2 = 4/6
The answer is 4/6

You have to change the denominator to 6, there are 2 3s in 6 so you have to multiply both parts of the fraction 2/3 by 2, making it 4/6.
