Well scientist believe that earth was formed when space rock collided into each other to form the earth. Meteorites are space rocks and are most likely the some of the rocks that collided into each other to form the earth. So it would make sense that because meteorites basically made the "foundation" of the earth, that the earth contains some of the elements of meteorites and those elements were most likely stronger on early earth.
