“Night climbed the horizon like a cat on the prowl; Its breath was the wind that began to howl, The piercing stars were its ravenous eyes, Eclipsing the light to reveal its guise.” How did the poet use personification?

I think the answer is D.

because the night is being given human qualities making it seem like a character by saying it's like a cat, I can see that the wind is being portrayed as the breath and the stars are being portrayed as the "ravenous eyes"
The answer is C due to the definition of personification. The author is giving the wind a human action “howling”. A and D are essentially saying the same thing. The night is being compared to an ANIMAL (cat), so it can’t be PERSONification. B) pairing the night and stars also doesn’t make sense as personification
