After President Clinton sent peacekeeping troops to Somalia, Somalia's government remained unstable.

This led to a shoot of a United States Black Hawk. Hundreds of the Somalia people lost their lives as well as a few Americans and members of the UN.

The issue in the country was allowed to escalate due to the negligence of the UN. They let the problem get out of hand before any thing was done about it.
