"The Rainy Day" is centered on a metaphor comparing life to a rainy day. The author uses each stanza to build the metaphor. Although the second stanza is somewhat bleak, the speaker's thoughts change in the final stanza. The speaker still compares life to a rainy day, but there is some hope.

Answer: If you want differences then there is quite a bit. The two authors are different and that's for sure on the rainy day it's about how the man is tired of his life, and he compares his feelings too bad days/rainy days while in Invictus is about how the author is strong and fearless and ready for any obstacles thrown at him
