jack and jill shared 1/2 of a cake. jack got to eat twice the amount of cake as jill. what fraction of the cake did jack eat.

Jill's share = x

Jack's share = 2x

x + 2x = 1/2

Jack's share = 2x = 2(1/6) = 2/6 = 1/3
