Coming up with answers to environmental problems is the most important philosophy these people have in terms of ideas. As a result, based on its description, environmental activism can be split into three categories: segmentary, polycentric, and networked. The term "segmentary" refers to a varied group of people who come together to pursue a shared goal. The term "polycentric" refers to a group's various and frequently shifting centers of influence.
