I took out the greatest common factor, which is y^2 and factored from there
You’ll end up with y^2(y+2)(y+8)

y^2(y^2+10y^1+16y^0)=0

y^2+10y+16=0

on doing. factors of 10y we get 8y+2y

y^2+8y+2y+16=0

y(y+8)+2(y+8)=0

(y+2)(y+8)=0

1.y+8=0

y=-8

2.y+2=0

y=-2

hence y =(-8,-2)
