to find m:

plug in: [tex]\frac{4-2}{0-7} =\frac{2}{-7}[/tex]
m= [tex]-\frac{2}{7}[/tex]
y=[tex]-\frac{2}{7}[/tex]x+b
b is the y intercept
plug in to find b:
[tex]2=7(-\frac{2}{7} )+b\\2=-2+b\\4=b[/tex]
∴ [tex]y=-\frac{2}{7} x+4[/tex]
