Respuesta :
Salinity increases on increasing the mass of water.
What is salinity?
Salinity is the saltiness or amount of salt dissolved in a body of water.
- When salt is dissolved in fresh water, the density of the water increases because the mass of the water increases. Therefore on increasing mass of water, salinity will increase.
- Adding salt to water lowers the freezing temperature. Thus salinity will decrease on increasing the freezing point of water.
- On decreasing the sunlight in deeper locations, salinity will also decrease.
- On increasing the amount of dissolved gases in water, salinity will decrease.
