1.7 and 1.700 have the same value because zeros have no value, and without the zeros, 1.700 would turn into 1.7. It is not like there is another number that is not zero after the two zeros either.
Because 1.7 will still be call one point seventy even though it does have 0 ( also can say one point seven ) however if it was 1.07 it would be smaller than 1.7 ( 1| 07 < 1| 7 or 1| 70 )
