What is the atomic number of an atom?
O the number of neutrons
O the number of electrons and neutrons
O the number of protons
the number protons and neutrons

Respuesta :

The answer is the number of protons. I hope this helps
An atom is classified by how many protons it has.

Changes in the number of neutrons will change the individual isotope of that element that the atom is, but the atomic number is always equal to the number of protons.

Also, protons + neutrons = mass number, not atomic number!
