15−2x=3x i need to find what x= but im stumped i have tried 6 and -6 but just cant get this

X=3 because you have to isolate the variable by dividing each side by factors that don’t contain the variable .

15 - 2x = 3x Simplify both sides of the equation

15 - 2x = 3x

-2x + 15 =3x

-2x + 15 - 3x  = 3x -3x Subtract 3x from both sides

-5x + 15 = 0

-5x + 15 - 15 = 0 - 15 Subtract 15 from both sides

-5x = -15

- 5x/-5 = -15/-5

x = 3 (ANSWER)
