n(U) = 100
n(M)= 70
n(S)= 20
n(M intersection S)= 20
So,
n(M union S)= n(M) +n(S) - n(M intersection S)
= 70+ 40 - 20
=90
Again,
n( M union S) complement = n(U) - n( M union S)
= 100 - 90
= 10
Therefore, 10 participants drank neither of the drinks.
