Let ΔL  = change in length

     ΔT = change in the temperature

     L(0) = intial length

     α = coeffient of linear expansion

Then

ΔL = αL(0)ΔT

    =(2.4×10^-5)(10)(100-20)

    =0.0192 m

New length = L(0) + ΔL

                   = 10 + 0.0192

                   = 10.2 m
