On planet P, length is measured in wings, wongs, and wytes. If 14 wings are equivalent to 9 wytes and 9 wongs are equivalent to 7 wings, how many wongs make a wyte?

we have,
14 wings = 9 wytes
=> 1 wings = 9/14 wytes --- (1)

and,
9 wongs = 7 wings
=> 9 wongs = 7 × 9/14 wytes [from (1)]
=> 9 wongs = 9/2 wytes
=> 9 × 2/9 wongs = 1 wytes
=> 2 wongs = 1 wytes
hence 2 wongs makes a wyte
