The formula v= 1/3LWH gives the volume of a rectangular pyramid with length L, height H, and width W.

Find W if V= 64m^3, L= 6m, and h= 4m

Please help, I really don't understand this.

We have

V = 64 m³, L = 6 m, H = 4 m.

Substiute to the formula

[tex]V=\dfrac{1}{3}LWH\\\\\dfrac{1}{3}(6)W(4)=64\\\\\dfrac{6}{3}(4)W=64\\\\(2)(4)W=64\\\\8W=64\qquad|:8\\\\\boxed{W=8\ m}[/tex]
