The perimeter of a rectangle is 42 m. the length of the rectangle is 3 m less than twice the width. Find the length and width of the rectangle

Area Of Rectangle
= 2 length × 2 width
= 2 l + 2 w

l = 2 w -3................equation (i)
2 l + 2 w = 42..........equation (ii)

2(2 w -3) + 2 w =42
4 w - 6 + 2 w = 42
4 w + 2 w = 42 + 6
6 w = 48
w =8

l = 2 w - 3
l = 2×8 - 3
l = 13

Length = 13
Width = 8
