after being paid at work, Tom use 1/4 of his money to buy sneakers, 3/8 of his money to fix his car and the rest to pay his rent. If he paid $600 in rent, how much money did he get paid at work?

This means that the $600 for rent 3/8.
600/3 = 200 = 1/8
200*8 = 1600 = 100%
So he got $1600 paid at work
