In the last two weeks,a plant grew 1/8 in. and 3/8 in. Respectively. How many inches did the plant grow in the last two weeks? Express your answer in lowest terms.

So it grew a total of 4/8 in. in 2 weeks. In simplest form it would be 1/2.
