Problem Statement
Stacey wants to build a bookshelf for her office, so she goes online and finds a plan for a bookshelf that she
really likes. When she begins to read the plans, she realizes that all the measurement are given in metric units of
length. This is a problem because she can only get her hands on a tape measure in U.S. Customary Units (feet
and inches). She wants to build the bookshelf, so she decides to convert all the measurements. According to the
plans, the bookshelf is made of wood planks 1.905 cm (3/4 of an inch) thick and consists of two sides, a top, and
five shelves.
